CIRCUMCISION/foreskin removal

Circumcision is the surgical treatment to remove the foreskin, the tissue which is covering the head (glans) of the penis. Circumcision is quite common for newborn boys. In most common methods, initially the foreskin was opened and then it will be separated from the glans after keen examination. The circumcision device is placed, and after then the foreskin is removed. Circumcision is generally done on first or second day after birth.

Circumcision Treatment

PROCEDURE:
  • Generally before the operation patient needs to eat and drink before six hours prior to the surgery. Initially patient are given a general anesthesia to relief the pain.

  • After giving general anesthesia, patient will be unconscious all over the procedure, and if local anesthetic injection, which will create numb to your penis and numb to the surrounding area.

  • Circumcision is a quite simple procedure. The foreskin was detached just behind the head of the penis with the help of a scalpel or surgical scissors. If any bleeding occurs means, it can be cauterized (stopped using heat), and the remaining edges of skin are to be stitched together using dissolvable stitches.

  • It generally takes mostly 10 days for your penis to heal after circumcision surgery.

  • For 3 or 4 days after your surgery, you may likely experience some discomfort and swelling around the head of your penis.
